SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 101 Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the State of Alaska authorizing a priority for subsistence uses of renewable natural resources that is based on place of residence; and providing for an effective date. ACTION NARRATIVE TAPE 98-8, SIDE A CHAIRMAN KELLY called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order at 12:22 p.m.. and noted the presence of Senators Leman, Taylor, Torgerson, Duncan and Kelly. SB 1002 - EXTEND CURRENT SUBSISTENCE LAW CHAIRMAN KELLY brought SB 1002 before the committee as the first order of business. He noted there was a Resources CS and then requested a motion on the legislation. SENATOR LEMAN moved and asked unanimous consent SB 1002 be approved for calendaring at the discretion of the Chair. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered. SJR 101 - CONST AM:SUBSIST. PREF.BASED ON RESIDENCE CHAIRMAN KELLY brought SJR 101 before the committee as the final order of business and requested a motion on the legislation. SENATOR LEMAN moved and asked unanimous consent SJR 101 be approved for calendaring at the discretion of the Chair. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered.
