ACTION NARRATIVE TAPE 97-7, SIDE A CHAIRMAN LEMAN called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order at 8:37 p.m., and noted the presence of Senators Taylor, Torgerson, Miller, Duncan and Leman. CHAIRMAN LEMAN reviewed the committee agenda and requested calendaring motions on the legislation. SENATOR TAYLOR moved HJR 31 (FEDERAL FOOD, DRUG, AND COSMETIC ACT be approved for calendaring at the discretion of the Chair. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered. SENATOR TAYLOR moved CSHB 151(RES) am (BIG GAME GUIDES/REGISTR. AREAS/TRANSPORT) be approved for calendaring at the discretion of the Chair. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered. SENATOR TAYLOR moved CSHB 153(FIN) (ALIENS AND ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS be approved for calendaring at the discretion of the Chair. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered. CHAIRMAN LEMAN requested a roll call vote with the following result: Senators Miller, Duncan and Taylor voted "Yea" and Senators Torgerson and Leman voted "Nay." CHAIRMAN LEMAN stated the calendaring motion carried on a 3-2 vote. There being no further business to come before the committee, the meeting adjourned at 8:39 p.m.
