PREVIOUS SENATE COMMITTEE ACTION SB 250 - Finance report 2/15/96. Rules minutes dated 2/19/96. ACTION NARRATIVE TAPE 96-4, SIDE A CHAIRMAN MILLER called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order at 10:45 a.m. He brought SB 250 (UNIV. OF ALASKA: LAND GRANT & ASSETS) before the committee. The bill was returned to the Rules Committee from the Senate floor on March 6. SENATOR DUNCAN related that the last time he talked to the Administration there were still concerns with the bill, and he asked if something had been worked out. CHAIRMAN MILLER responded he did not know, and he suggested he would have to ask Senator Frank that question. SENATOR SHARP moved and asked unanimous consent SB 250 be approved for calendaring. SENATOR DUNCAN objected. The roll was taken with the following result: Senators Pearce, Sharp and Miller voted "Yea" and Senators Salo and Duncan voted "Nay." The Chairman stated the motion carried on a 3-2 vote. There being no further business to come before the committee, the meeting was adjourned at 10:49 a.m.
