ACTION NARRATIVE TAPE 94-4, SIDE A Number 001 CHAIRMAN RICK HALFORD called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order at 1:08 p.m. He outlined the agenda and asked for motions on the legislation. SENATOR RIEGER moved and asked unanimous consent that SJR 49 (UNFUNDED FEDERAL MANDATES) be approved for calendaring at the Chair's discretion. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered. SENATOR RIEGER moved and asked unanimous consent that SB 249 (REGULATION OF ASSISTED LIVING HOMES) be approved for calendaring at the Chair's discretion. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered. SENATOR RIEGER moved and asked unanimous consent that SB 295 (GRANTS/LOANS FOR STORAGE TANK OWNERS) be approved for calendaring at the Chair's discretion. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered. SENATOR RIEGER moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHB 454(FIN) ) (APPROP: COST OF OIL/GAS LITIGATION) be approved for calendaring at the Chair's discretion. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered. CHAIRMAN HALFORD brought CSHB 406(FIN) (LOCAL TAXES/FEES ON AIR CARRIERS) before the committee as the next order of business. He directed attention to a proposed Rules SCS that was requested by Senator Sharp. The only change is to page 1, line 11, and the addition of the words "tax or." SENATOR RIEGER moved that SCS CSHB 406(RLS) be adopted. Hearing no objection, the motion carried. SENATOR RIEGER moved that SCS CSHB 406(RLS) be passed out of committee with individual recommendations. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered. SENATOR RIEGER moved and asked unanimous consent that SCS CSHB 406(RLS) be approved for calendaring at the Chair's discretion. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered. SENATOR ZHAROFF informed the committee that he has been working on a resolution for introduction, but the time for the introduction of personal legislation has passed. The resolution requests that Governor Hickel withdraw the name of Clem Tillion from the list of potential appointees to the North Pacific Fisheries Management Council. He requested that the resolution be introduced by the Senate Rules Committee, and hearing no objection, the Chairman stated the resolution would be introduced. There being no further business to come before the committee, the meeting was adjourned at 1:13 p.m.
