WITNESS REGISTER None ACTION NARRATIVE TAPE 00-26, SIDE A Number 001 CHAIRMAN HALFORD called the Senate Resources Committee meeting to order at 4:24 p.m. Present were Senators Green, Pete Kelly, Taylor and Chairman Halford. The committee took up HB 116. HB 116-BOARD OF AGRICULTURE AND CONSERVATION  CHAIRMAN HALFORD announced a Senate Resources Committee substitute was prepared for HB 116 (4/15/00 LS 0407\F by Cook). SENATOR GREEN moved to adopt SCS CSHB 116(RES) as the working version of the committee. SENATOR TAYLOR objected for the purpose of discussion. CHAIRMAN HALFORD explained the changes made to SCS CSHB 116 (RES) as follows. The Commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will not serve on the board. That change was made at the request of the Commissioner. Board members will be confirmed by the Legislature. Last, the proceeds from the sale of agricultural land will go to the Agricultural Revolving Loan Fund by appropriation. SENATOR TAYLOR removed his objection. CHAIRMAN HALFORD announced that with no further objections, SCS CSHB 116 (RES) was adopted as the working version of the committee. SENATOR TAYLOR moved SCS CSHB 116 (RES) from committee with individual recommendations. There being no objection, it was so ordered. There being no further business to come before the committee, CHAIRMAN HALFORD adjourned the meeting at 4:26 p.m.
