ACTION NARRATIVE TAPE 96-33, SIDE A Number 001 CHAIRMAN KELLY called the Senate Labor and Commerce Committee meeting to order at 1:05 p.m. He brought a proposed CSSB 1010(L&C) (MISC. MOTOR VEHICLE AMENDMENTS) before the committee and noted it was the exact same bill as CSHB 517(TRA) am S, which passed the Senate the previous day. He explained this legislation was introduced as a backup measure in the event there is a procedural problem with resurrecting HB 517, which was from the previous legislative session. Number 010 SENATOR MILLER moved CSSB 1010(L&C) be adopted. Hearing no objection, the Chairman stated the committee substitute was adopted. CHAIRMAN KELLY asked for a motion to move the bill out of committee. SENATOR MILLER moved CSSB 1010(L&C) be passed out of committee with individual recommendations. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered. There being no further business to come before the committee, CHAIRMAN KELLY adjourned the meeting at 1:08 p.m.
