CHAIRMAN TAYLOR said he hoped the committee would be able to review recent legislation related to regulations and he thanked Representative James for all the work she and her staff had already done. CHAIRMAN TAYLOR remarked there was still much to be done and he hoped they could accomplish some legislation to address problems within the Administrative Code, particularly the adjudication of challenges to regulations and the administrative remedy "merry-go-round." CHAIRMAN TAYLOR concluded the committee needs to find a few specific examples of bad regulations to provide a base of support to move some review legislation through the process. Number 050 CHAIRMAN TAYLOR suggested the committee might also address other problems within the Administrative Code, including notification, administrative decision-making and hearings. CHAIRMAN TAYLOR said the committeee is faced with an overwhelming task, but he looks forward to making progress where it can. There being no further business to come before the committee, CHAIRMAN TAYLOR adjourned the meeting.
