HOUSE SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON UTILITY RESTRUCTURING January 26, 2000 8:11 a.m. COMMITTEE CALENDAR OVERVIEW OF ALASKA REGULATORY COMMISSION ESTABLISH AGENDA AND SET GOALS TAPE 00-1, SIDES A & B CHAIRMAN BILL HUDSON called the House Special Committee on Utility Restructuring meeting to order at 8:11 a.m. PRESENT Committee members present were Representatives Hudson, Cowdery, Kott, Rokeberg, Porter, Davies and Berkowitz. SUMMARY OF INFORMATION NANETTE THOMPSON, Chairperson, Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA), presented an update on the activities and goals of the newly formed RCA, formerly the Alaska Public Utilities Commission (APUC). She stated that RCA would continue to work with the CH2M Hill restructuring study and would gather more information; RCA would like a year before commenting further on the subject of utility restructuring. Ms. Thompson also responded to questions asked by committee members. CHAIRMAN HUDSON presented a list of proposed topics for future meetings. Committee members discussed this list and added a few topics for future meetings. ANNOUNCEMENTS The committee will next meet February 9, 2000, at 8 a.m. COMMITTEE ACTION The committee took no action.
