Representative(s) Davies and Berkowitz arrived as the meeting was in progress. Representative Rokeberg was not present. SUMMARY OF INFORMATION DANE LARSON, Legislative Auditor, Legislative Audit Division, Legislative Agencies and Offices, came before the committee and presented the audit report on the Alaska Public Utilities Commission dated December 23, 1998. PAT DAVIDSON, Legislative Auditor, Legislative Audit Division, Legislative Agencies and Offices, came before the committee and answered questions regarding the audit report on the Alaska Public Utilities Commission. GENE BJORNSTAD, General Manager, Chugach Electric Association, Incorporated, came before the committee and gave a presentation titled, "Presentation to the House Special Committee on Utility Restructuring - March 24, 1999". JIMMY JACKSON, Attorney, General Communications Incorporated, came before the committee and discussed his experiences as a hearing officer with the Alaska Public Utilities Commission and the effects of competition on long-distance telephone services.
