HB 36: RETIREMENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM HB 35: DEPOSITS TO THE BUDGET RESERVE FUND CHAIRMAN AL VEZEY stated HB 36 would not be heard today. He then asked if the committee wanted to take action on HB 35. Number 106 REPRESENTATIVE PETE KOTT MOVED to adopt the Committee Substitute (CS) for HB 35. Roll call was taken and CSHB 35 was ADOPTED unanimously. Number 146 REPRESENTATIVE HARLEY OLBERG MOVED to pass CSHB 35 from committee with individual recommendations. Roll call was taken and CSHB 35 PASSED out of committee with all members voting yes. HJR 3: LIMITING TERMS OF LEGISLATORS Number 157 CHAIRMAN VEZEY brought before the committee CSHJR 3. Discussion regarding the Committee Substitute followed. Terms of the effective date starting 1994 and not being retroactive were discussed. Number 217 REPRESENTATIVE GARY DAVIS MOVED to adopt CSHJR 3. Roll call was taken and CSHJR 3 was ADOPTED unanimously. He then moved to pass CSHJR 3 from committee with individual recommendations. Roll call was taken and CSHJR 3 PASSED out of committee with all members voting yes. SSHJR 15: 100 DAY SESSION LIMIT Number 245 CHAIRMAN VEZEY brought before the committee SSHJR 15. Clarification of the session starting date was discussed. Number 261 REPRESENTATIVE KOTT, PRIME SPONSOR OF SSHJR 15, said the purpose was to reduce the cost of doing business in the state. Number 307 REPRESENTATIVE OLBERG MOVED to pass SSHJR 15 from committee with individual recommendations. Roll call was taken and SSHJR 15 PASSED out of committee with all members voting yes. HB 49: ABSENTEE BALLOTING BY FAX Number 324 REPRESENTATIVE KOTT said research was still being done before the committee substitute for HB 49 would be completed. HB 47: ABSENTEE BALLOTS - PRIMARY ELECTIONS Number 353 REPRESENTATIVE FRAN ULMER asked if HB 47 could be held in committee for a week so the "democrat committee" could review the bill.
