Wilson Alaska State Legislature Juneau, Alaska POSITION STATEMENT: Speaking on behalf of the sponsor, Representative P. Wilson, explained Amendment 1 to CSHJR 4(FIN). ACTION NARRATIVE 4:02:19 PM CHAIR CRAIG JOHNSON called the House Rules Standing Committee meeting to order at 4:02 p.m. Representatives Olson, Chenault, Gruenberg, Tuck, and Johnson were present at the call to order. Representative Austerman arrived as the meeting was in progress. HJR 4-CONST. AM: TRANSPORTATION FUND  4:02:31 PM CHAIR JOHNSON announced that the only order of business would be HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 4, Proposing amendments to the Constitution of the State of Alaska creating a transportation infrastructure fund. 4:02:44 PM REPRESENTATIVE OLSON moved to adopt Amendment 1, labeled 27- LS0197\T.1, Martin, 3/7/12, which read: Page 1, line 14, following "fees": Insert ", taxes," Page 2, line 1, following "fees": Insert ", taxes," Page 2, line 5, following "fees": Insert ", taxes," There being no objection, Amendment 1 was adopted. 4:02:58 PM REBECCA ROONEY, Staff, Representative P. Wilson, Alaska State Legislature, speaking on behalf of the sponsor, Representative P. Wilson, explained that Amendment 1 is a technical amendment to include "taxes" as well as fees and funds. This change was requested by Legislative Legal Services to make the resolution, a constitutional amendment, more clear and concise. 4:04:02 PM CHAIR JOHNSON, upon determining no one else wished to testify, closed public testimony. 4:04:36 PM REPRESENTATIVE OLSON moved to report CSHJR 4(FIN), as amended, out of committee with individual recommendations and the accompanying fiscal notes.
