ACTION NARRATIVE 6:05:08 PM CO-CHAIR DAVID TALERICO called the House Resources Standing Committee meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. [continued from today's 1:00 pm meeting]. Representatives Herron, Seaton, Josephson, Hawker, and Talerico were present at the call to order. Representatives Tarr, Johnson, and Olson arrived as the hearing was in progress. HB 132-AGDC SUPPORT OF NATURAL GAS PROJECTS 6:05:26 PM CO-CHAIR TALERICO announced that the only order of business is HOUSE BILL NO. 132, "An Act relating to the support of the Alaska liquefied natural gas project by the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation." 6:06:49 PM BILL WARREN, Retired, Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 367, said he is against HB 132, and described the following as good for Alaska: the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation (AGDC), with Dan Fauske as [President]; an Alaskan board; Governor Bill Walker reviewing marketing opportunities; and the House of Representative leadership communicating with Governor Walker. Although, he stated, the AGDC being neutered until 2017 or longer is wrong, as is the secrecy about the Alaska LNG Project and AGDC. He expressed this is the time to be brave as he considers the "big three" a rock and that Alaska must be strong for mutual respect. CO-CHAIR TALERICO closed public testimony. 6:10:28 PM The committee took an at-ease from 6:10 to 6:30 p.m. 6:30:12 PM CO-CHAIR TALERICO opened and then closed public testimony after ascertaining no one else wished to testify. [HB 132 was held over.] 6:30:34 PM ADJOURNMENT There being no further business before the committee, the House Resources Standing Committee meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
