SUMMARY OF INFORMATION  KENNETH A. BOYD, Lobbyist for AEC Oil & Gas (USA) Inc., introduced Mr. James. GUY JAMES, Vice President, Northern Exploration/AEC [Alberta Energy Company] New Ventures Business Unit, AEC Oil & Gas, offered a PowerPoint presentation. Highlights included company composition overall and in Alaska, new ventures and next growth potential, the McCovey Project, foothills opportunities, comparison of Alaska's gas industry to Alberta 50 years ago, the need for stable policy and regulations, the RIK (royalty-in- kind) program, predictability of permit process as a major need, and access needs. A handout was provided. MARK HANLEY, Public Affairs Manager, Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, offered a presentation that included a company profile, the working relationship with AEC, the history of company exploration in the state, the Alpine field, the hydrate research project, the need for access to land and a pipeline, and the need for a reasonable and timely permit process. Handouts were provided. ANNOUNCEMENTS  There were no announcements. COMMITTEE ACTION  The committee took no action.
