Also present were Representatives Foster and Coghill. SUMMARY OF INFORMATION  ROBERT K. UHRICH, Director, Land Management, Engineering Field Activity, Northwest Naval Facilities Engineering Command, provided a handout of his testimony and discussed historical aspects as well as the current status of the Adak base closure activities. He answered questions on related topics, including but not limited to underground storage tanks; the number of people at Adak; the status of power plants, facilities, housing, and landfills; asbestos removal; and the availability of emergency landing services.
