LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL May 23, 2003 1. ROLL CALL  The Legislative Council meeting was called to order at 4:08pm by Senator Taylor, Chairman, Legislative Council, in the Butrovich Room at the Alaska State Capitol. The roll was taken. In attendance were Council members: Taylor, Cowdery (via teleconference), Ogan, Ben Stevens (via teleconference), Therriault, Coghill, Masek, Kott, Stoltze, and Weyhrauch. Absent members were: Dyson, Rokeberg, Lincoln and Berkowitz. Staff present were: Varni, Collins, Huber, Price and Schofield. 2. APPROVAL OF KETCHIKAN OFFICE SPACE  Senator Ogan moved that Legislative Council approve a lease extension with 50 FS LLC in Ketchikan per AS 36.30.083 with a 15% reduction in the rent effective December 1, 2003 - November 30, 2008. Discussion followed. YEAS: Taylor, Cowdery, Ogan, Ben Stevens, Coghill, Kott, Masek, Stoltze, and Weyhrauch NAYS: None ABSENT: Therriault, Rokeberg, Berkowitz, Dyson and Lincoln With no objection the motion was approved. Senator Therriault joined the meeting.   3. OTHER BUSINESS  Senator Taylor, Chair, informed the Council that bids for the Chamber remodel had been received and Pam Varni, Executive Director, Legislative Affairs Agency would be reviewing the bids. Senator Taylor also announced the Anchorage RFP Subcommittee was working on a draft RFP document for the Anchorage office space. The meeting was adjourned at 4:23pm.
