Representatives Kurka, Vance, and Eastman arrived as the meeting was in progress. SB 122-VICTIM DEFINITION  2:54:51 PM CHAIR CLAMAN announced that the only order of business would be SENATE BILL NO. 122, "An Act relating to the definition of 'victim.'" 2:55:07 PM }SENATOR LORA REINBOLD* Alaska State Legislature* Juneau, Alaska* As prime sponsor, presented SB 122.{ as prime sponsor, presented SB 122. She explained that her office had reached out to the Office of Victims' Rights and had learned that a defense attorney [successfully] argued in court that two teenagers were not victims of the crime during which their mother had been slain by her husband and that the children had been denied [court] proceedings. 2:56:18 PM CHAIR CLAMAN opened public testimony on SB122 and after ascertaining that no one wished to testify, he closed public testimony. REPRESENTATIVE KREISS-TOMKINS stated his support for SB 122.
