Representative(s) Phillips and Joule arrived as the meeting was in progress. SUMMARY OF INFORMATION REPRESENTATIVE COWDERY summarized the events of the previous meeting. ROBIN ZERBEL, Representative, World Trade Center of Alaska, discussed the programs and the results of the World Trade Center of Alaska. She answered questions regarding her testimony. JOSEPH BEEDLE, President, Goldbelt Incorporation, discussed his involvement with the World Trade Center of Alaska and answered questions on his testimony. BEN BARRERA, Vice President, Corporate Relations, National Bank of Alaska, discussed his involvement with the World Trade Center of Alaska and answered questions on his testimony. BERND GUETSCHOW, Honorary Consul of Germany, urged assistance of state government to strengthen Alaska's presence in Germany and answered questions on his testimony. WILLIAM HENSLEY, Commissioner, Office of the Commissioner, Department of Commerce and Economic Development (DCED), presented an overview of DCED's activities in international trade and answered questions. DEBBIE SEDWICK, Assistant Commissioner, Division of Trade and Development, DCED, answered questions regarding DCED's finances. RODGER PAINTER, Board Member, Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI), discussed ASMI's export program and answered questions regarding ASMI. COMMITTEE ACTION The committee took no action.
