ALASKA STATE LEGISLATURE  HOUSE SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON FISHERIES  April 9, 2001 5:32 p.m. COMMITTEE CALENDAR    PRESENTATION: CANADIAN / BRITISH COLUMBIA FISHERIES POLICY AND SALMON FARMING BY U.S. CONSUL GENERAL HUGO LLORENS TAPES  01-18, SIDES A & B   CALL TO ORDER    REPRESENTATIVE PEGGY WILSON, Co-Chair, reconvened the House Special Committee on Fisheries at 5:32 p.m. [The minutes for SJR 15, are found in the 5:10 p.m. minutes for the same date.] PRESENT    Committee members present were Representatives Wilson, Stevens, Scalzi, Dyson, Coghill, Kapsner, and Kerttula. SUMMARY OF INFORMATION  HUGO LLORENS, Consul General of the United States of America, presented an overview of what they do at their consulate in Vancouver, British Columbia. He gave an overview of the issues that are dealt with by the consulate. The committee members asked questions relating to specific areas of concern. COMMITTEE ACTION  The committee took no action.   ANNOUNCEMENTS  There will be not be a House Special Committee on Fisheries meeting on Monday, April 16, 2001.
