Representative Dahlstrom arrived as the meeting was in progress. SUMMARY OF INFORMATION  HON. ELAINE TAYLOR, Yukon Legislative Assembly, introduced herself and spoke about enjoying the opportunity to discuss tourism opportunities with Alaska. She also discussed the Pacific NorthWest Economic Region (PNWER) and a proposed road between the Yukon Territory and Alaska. HON. TODD HARDY, Yukon Legislative Assembly, introduced himself and discussed the differences between being the opposition leader in parliament and being a member of the minority in America. HON. GLENN HART, Yukon Legislative Assembly, introduced himself and spoke about how he was in Alaska to compare Canada's and Alaska's highway systems. He also mentioned looking forward to receiving the Alaska delegation to the Yukon Territory. HON. TED STAFFEN, Speaker, Yukon Legislative Assembly, introduced himself and spoke on the differences between the Canadian parliament and the American democratic system. He also spoke about the ceremonial mace. HON. HAAKON ARNTZEN, Yukon Legislative Assembly, introduced himself and discussed his chairmanship of the regulatory review committee. HON. BRAD CATHERS, Yukon Legislative Assembly, introduced himself and spoke about his district and his role as the government caucus whip. He also discussed similarities and differences between America and Canada and his hopes of broadening and strengthening relations. ANNOUNCEMENTS  There were no announcements. COMMITTEE ACTION  The committee took no action. ADJOURNMENT  There being no further business before the committee, the House Special Committee on Economic Development, International Trade and Tourism meeting was adjourned at an unspecified time.
