Representative Kookesh was not in attendance. HB 255-HOME RULE VILLAGES Number 0054 CO-CHAIRMAN HARRIS made an announcement regarding HOUSE BILL NO. 255, "An Act relating to villages; and providing for an effective date." On February 22, 2000, CSHB 255(CRA) had been moved from the House Community and Regional Affairs Committee with a zero fiscal note. Now, however, the bill has picked up a fiscal note of $2,800. Although the committee could bring the bill back before them and take action, he felt that with the new fiscal note, the bill would now receive a House Finance Committee referral. [There were no further comments, and the committee took no action.] CO-CHAIRMAN HARRIS announced that HB 342 would not be heard today since it is a work in progress. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business before the committee, the House Community and Regional Affairs Standing Committee meeting was adjourned at 9:26 a.m.
