He said a new proposed committee substitute (CS) addresses questions raised in the last meeting. 1:04:49 PM At ease from 1:04 to 1:05 p.m. 1:05:07 PM SENATOR BISHOP moved to adopt CSSB 66( ), version 29-LS0470\F, as the working document. SENATOR STEDMAN objected for explanation purposes. 1:05:34 PM SENATOR CATHY GIESSEL, sponsor of SB 66, Alaska State Legislature, Juneau, Alaska, thanked the committee for hearing the bill and asked her staff to go through the changes in the CS. 1:05:56 PM FORREST WOLFE, Staff, Senator Giessel, Alaska State Legislature, Juneau, Alaska, said the CS has only one change from the previous version. It adds Section 5 on page 4, lines 7 and 8, clarifies that for the purposes of this statute "personal property" is a definition given in AS 01.10.060, which reads: (9) "personal property includes money, goods, chattels, things in action, and evidences of debt;". Members of the Alaska Support Industry Alliance felt it was important that this definition be directly referenced in the statute to eliminate any confusion. The rest of the changes in the CS are purely structural. SENATOR STEDMAN removed his objection and version F was adopted. CHAIR MICCICHE opened public testimony. 1:07:56 PM KATHRYN THOMAS, Alaska Pacific Leasing, Kenai, Alaska, supported the new CS for SB 66. 1:08:49 PM CHAIR MICCICHE, finding no further comments, closed public testimony. SENATOR BISHOP moved to pass CSSB 66(TRA), version F from committee with individual recommendations and attached fiscal note(s). There were no objections and it was so ordered.
