CHAIRMAN  PHILLIPS  announced the  committee  would  take up  CSHB                                                          
53(STA)-SEISMIC HAZARDS SAFETY COMMISSION.                                                                                  
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR ELLIS moved to calendar HB  53 and its accompanying fiscal                                                              
note at the Chairman's discretion.                                                                                              
                                                                                                                                
REPRESENTATIVE  JOHN DAVIES,  sponsor of  HB 53, informed  members                                                              
that the fiscal note cost is about $33,000.
