HB 149-PRIVATE PRISON IN KENAI                                                                            
                                                                                                                                
CHAIRWOMAN PEARCE announced  that the committee needs to rescind its                                                            
previous action  because it inadvertently  adopted Version  W of SCS                                                            
CSHB 149(FIN).   Version  W is the  actual version  that the  Senate                                                            
Finance Committee started with but Version U was passed from that                                                               
committee.                                                                                                                      
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR COWDERY moved to rescind the committee's action in adopting                                                             
Version W of SCS CSHB 149(FIN).  There being no objection, the                                                                  
motion carried.                                                                                                                 
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR COWDERY moved to adopt Version U of SCS CSHB 149(FIN).                                                                  
There being no objection, the motion carried.                                                                                   
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR COWDERY moved to calendar SCS CSHB 149(FIN).                                                                            
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR ELLIS objected.                                                                                                         
                                                                                                                                
The motion carried with Senators Therriault, Cowdery and Pearce                                                                 
voting "yea," and Senator Ellis voting "nay."
