CHAIRMAN HALFORD opened the public hearing on  SB 248  (ASSIST &              
 PROTECT VULNERABLE ADULTS).  He noted there was a requested                   
 proposed committee substitute.                                                
                                                                               
 SENATOR RIEGER moved the adoption of CSSB 248(RLS).                           
                                                                               
 SENATOR LITTLE suggested on page 12, line 2 of the committee                  
 substitute changing the word "or" to "and."                                   
                                                                               
 CHAIRMAN HALFORD stated SB 248 and the motion to adopt the                    
 committee substitute would be held over for more information on the           
 committee substitute.
