HOUSE BILL NO. 64 "An Act extending the termination date for the Board of Public Accountancy; and providing for an effective date." This was the second hearing for this bill in the Senate Finance Committee. Co-Chair Wilken reminded that the bill had been held in order to provide time for further review. REPRESENTATIVE MIKE HAWKER, the bill's sponsor, informed the Committee that the President of the Alaska Board of Public Accountancy was available for questions. STEVE TAROLA, Chair, Alaska Board of Public Accountancy, testified via teleconference from Homer, urged the Committee to support the legislation and report it from Committee. Senator Bunde moved to report the bill from Committee with individual recommendations and accompanying fiscal notes.
