He suggested that funding would be only provided for the sex offender registry, but not cover the under-funding of the Alaska Concealed Handgun program. He objected to the adoption of items 5 and 8. He observed that due to the passage of HB 102, fewer people are getting handgun permits, which has reduced funding to the program. He felt that those that want a permit should be supported and that the fee cannot be raised sufficiently. He felt that the fee should be covered as a small state expense.
