CSSB 180(FIN) - STATE RIGHTS-OF-WAY: RS 2477 CO-CHAIRMAN OGAN announced the first order of business was CSSB 180(FIN), "An Act relating to state rights-of-way." REPRESENTATIVE RAMONA BARNES made a motion to move CSSB 180(FIN) from the committee with individual recommendations and attached fiscal note(s). REPRESENTATIVE FRED DYSON objected for discussion purposes. He supports the legislation because access is a huge problem for the people of Alaska. However, he is concerned about government taking land, the width of the rights-of-way, and the devaluation of private property because of access. He will recommend to the sponsor a possible amendment. He removed his objection. CO-CHAIRMAN OGAN asked whether there is any further objection. There being no further objection, CSSB 180(FIN) was so moved from the House Resources Standing Committee.
