Mr. Hutchison stated that the senate version of the legislation mirrored the house version. He explained that changes occurred in the Senate Judiciary and Finance committees. He explained that some provisions were eliminated including one related to the procurement of life insurance policies. He noted that the bill passed the Senate floor 18-0. Representative Gara appreciated information about the Senate vote, although it was technically improper.
