Mr. Johnston stressed that Alaska is branching out to satellite oil production sites. The oil industry has proposed that the production of each small field be co- mingled on the surface and processed at the Lisburne production facility. He emphasized that current funding could not be used without cutting other programs or staff. He reiterated his concern that the engineer position requires computer software and travel support. She explained that the project allows the state libraries access to the University of Alaska database through the computer network. Access is available to all students and teachers and public libraries throughout the state.
