ADDENDUM TO REQUEST FOR LIMITED POWERS Chair Mulder pointed out that closing category I items would not preclude the Committee from reopening specific items in the future. Two affirmative votes from each body are needed to reopen an item. Representative Therriault asked if there had been discussions with the Administration on the amount needed for the K-12 foundation formula. Chair Mulder stated that discussions had occurred. He stated that additional savings might be identified in K-12 funding. He stressed that the item could be reopened if the department identified additional savings. Senator Parnell MOVED to ADOPT category I items. There being NO OBJECTION, it was so ordered. Co-Chair Mulder explained that the front section and mental health capital were inadvertently left out of the Conference Committee's category III request for limited powers of free conference. Senator Parnell MOVED to ADOPT an addendum to the Committee's request for limited powers of free conference to include these items. There being NO OBJECTION, it was so ordered. ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at 4:29 p.m. CC5O 2 4/28/99
