SB 166 - BUDGET DEADLINE FOR BOROUGH SCHOOL BOARD                            
                                                                              
 CO-CHAIR IVAN stated the next bill for consideration would be SB              
 166 AM - Budget Deadline for Borough School Board.  He invited                
 Sandy Nusbaum of Senator Torgerson's office to present the bill.

 SANDY NUSBAUM, Legislative Assistant to Senator John Torgerson,               
 introduced SB 166 AM.   She stated the bill would amend the dates             
 by which a borough school board was required to submit the school             
 budget for the upcoming year to the borough assembly.  She also               
 noted that an amendment on the Senate Floor by Senator Torgerson              
 allowed for local governments to provide by municipal ordinance a             
 date other than that specified by statute.

 REPRESENTATIVE KOTT moved that SB 166 AM with attached fiscal                 
 notes be passed from committee with individual recommendations.               
                                                                               
 CO-CHAIR IVAN, hearing no objection, stated that SB 166 AM had                
 passed from the House Community and Regional Affairs Committee.               
 He thanked the committee members for their participation this                 
 session.  Representative Kott noted that he had enjoyed working               
 with the committee as well.
