POSITION STATEMENT: Explained the changes made to the committee
substitute.

Number 001
CHAIR DRUE PEARCE called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to
order at 10:55 a.m. Present were Senators Phillips, Therriault,
Cowdery, Ellis and Pearce.
Chair Pearce announced that a Senate Rules Committee Substitute
(version C) was prepared for SCR 1-AVALANCHE AWARENESS MONTH.
MR. PAT CARTER, Senate Rules Committee aide, explained that the
changes made in version C are technical and apply to the list of
addressees: Governor Knowles' name was added to the list, a
spelling correction was made, and Randy Crawford's title was
changed from Major to Colonel.
SENATOR THERRIAULT moved to adopt version C as the working document
of the committee.
There being no objection, CHAIR PEARCE announced that version C was
adopted.
SENATOR THERRIAULT moved to calendar CSSCR 1(RLS).
There being no objection, CHAIR PEARCE announced that SCR 1 was
approved for calendaring.
There being no further business to come before the committee, CHAIR
PEARCE adjourned the meeting at 10:56 a.m.
