CHAIRMAN KELLY called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order
at 4:00 p.m. All members were present.
SENATOR LEMAN moved to calendar CSHB 161(FIN)(efd fld)- REDUCTIONS
IN BENEFIT PROGRAMS. SENATOR ELLIS objected. The motion to
calendar CSHB 161(FIN)(efd fld) carried with Senators Leman,
Miller, Pearce, and Kelly voting "yea," and Senator Ellis voting
"nay."
SENATOR LEMAN moved to calendar CSHB 82(JUD)am-IMMUNITY:CLAIMS
ARISING FROM Y2K PROBLEMS. There being no objection, it was so
ordered.
CHAIRMAN KELLY announced that another Senate Rules Committee would
be held during the evening to adopt a committee substitute to HB 69
and possibly calendar HB 40. He then adjourned the meeting at 4:04
p.m.
