ACTION NARRATIVE
TAPE 96-3, SIDE A
CHAIRMAN MILLER called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order
at 11:48 a.m.
CHAIRMAN MILLER brought CSHB 292(JUD) (FISH & GAME ENFORCEMENT)
before the committee as the only order of business. He directed
attention to a proposed Rules SCS. The only differences in the
Rules SCS and the Judiciary SCS is (1) it reduces the amount of the
fine from $500 to $300, which brings it in line with what is
currently in statute for infractions; and (2) it clarifies that a
violation is a class A misdemeanor.
SENATOR SHARP moved that SCS CSHB 292(RLS) be adopted. Hearing no
objection, the motion carried.
SENATOR SHARP moved that SCS CSHB 292(RLS) be approved for
calendaring. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered.
There being no further business to come before the committee, the
meeting was adjourned at 11:50 a.m.
