CHAIRMAN MILLER called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order
at 11:58 p.m.
CHAIRMAN MILLER brought SB 115 (UNIFORM INTERSTATE FAMILY SUPPORT
ACT) before the committee. Hearing no discussion, he asked for
the pleasure of the committee.
SENATOR PEARCE moved and asked unanimous consent that SB 115 be
approved for calendaring. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered.
CHAIRMAN MILLER brought CSHB 197(RES) (MINERAL EXPLORATION
INCENTIVE CREDITS) before the committee. Hearing no discussion, he
asked for the pleasure of the committee.

CHAIRMAN MILLER brought SB 160 (EXCLUSIONS FROM UNEMPLOYMENT
COVERAGE) before the committee.
DWIGHT PERKINS, Special Assistant, Office of the Commissioner,
Department of Labor, stated the department's opposition to SB 160.
They believe the Employment Security Act already goes far enough in
excluding employment of children by their parents and excluding
employment of students by educational institutions.
SENATOR PEARCE moved and asked unanimous consent that SB 160 be
approved for calendaring. SENATOR SALO objected. The roll was
taken with the following result: Senators Pearce, Sharp and Miller
voted "Yea" and Senators Duncan and Salo voted "Nay." The Chairman
stated the motion carried.
CHAIRMAN MILLER brought CSHJR 9(JUD) (SUIT RE POWS & MIAS AGAINST
U.S. & OTHERS) before the committee. Hearing no discussion, he
asked for the pleasure of the committee.
