ACTION NARRATIVE
TAPE 94-2, SIDE A
Number 001
CHAIRMAN RICK HALFORD called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to
order at 2:44 p.m.
Number 005
SENATOR RIEGER moved and asked unanimous consent that SCS CSHB
58(FIN) (ADMINISTRATION OF BUDGET RESERVE FUND) be approved for
calendaring at the Chair's discretion. SENATOR LITTLE objected.
The roll was taken with the following result: Senators Jacko,
Rieger and Halford voted "Yea" and Senator Little voted "Nay." The
Chairman stated the motion carried.
Number 030
SENATOR RIEGER moved and asked unanimous consent that CSSB 33(FIN)
(GRANTS FOR LOCAL EMERGENCY PLANNING) be approved for calendaring
at the Chair's discretion. Hearing no objection, it was so
ordered.
Number 042
SENATOR RIEGER moved and asked unanimous consent that SB 210
(DISPOSAL OF DALTON HWY RIGHT-OF-WAY LAND) be approved for
calendaring at the Chair's discretion. Hearing no objection, it
was so ordered.
Number 050
SENATOR RIEGER moved and asked unanimous consent that SB 212 (STATE TE
PROCUREMENTS AND PUBLICATIONS) be approved for calendaring at the
Chair's discretion. SENATOR LITTLE objected, stating that some of
the legislation before the committee has had only one hearing in
the Senate Finance Committee where the minority does not have
proportional representation and input. She said she finds it
totally reprehensible that this practice has continued. SENATOR
RIEGER pointed out that SB 212 had several hearings in the Senate
Labor and Commerce Committee.
CHAIRMAN HALFORD stated there would be a roll call vote on the
calendaring motion for SB 212. Senators Jacko, Rieger and Halford
voted "Yea" and Senator Little voted "Nay." The Chairman stated
the motion carried.
CHAIRMAN HALFORD informed the committee that CSHB 69(FIN) (SEX
OFFENDER REGISTRATION) and a proposed SCS CSHB 69(RLS) would be
scheduled for a substantive hearing at its next meeting.
There being no further business to come before the committee, the
meeting was adjourned at 2:49 p.m.
