Relating to support of the State of Alaska's areawide leasing
program.
HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 39
Urging the United States Congress to enact legislation that
prohibits the President of the United States from extending or
establishing national monuments without the express authorization
of the Congress.

CHAIRMAN KELLY called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order
at 11:35 a.m., and noted the presence of Senators Taylor, Leman,
Torgerson and Kelly.
CHAIRMAN KELLY brought SCR 20 - STATE AREAWIDE LEASING PROGRAM
before the committee. Hearing no discussion, he asked for the
pleasure of the committee.
SENATOR TAYLOR moved and asked unanimous consent SCR 20 be approved
for calendaring at the discretion of the Chair. Hearing no
objection, it was so ordered.
CHAIRMAN KELLY brought HJR 39 - LIMIT DECLARATION OF NATL.
MONUMENTS before the committee as the final order of business.
Hearing no discussion, he asked for the pleasure of the committee.
SENATOR TAYLOR moved and asked unanimous consent HJR 39 be approved
for calendaring at the discretion of the Chair. Hearing no
objection, it was so ordered.
There being no further business to come before the committee, the
meeting adjourned at 11:37 a.m.
