SENATE BILL NO. 159 "An Act relating to the new business incentive program." SENATE BILL NO. 214 "An Act relating to the possession of a concealed deadly weapon by peace officers and chief administrative officers of local police departments; to the definition of police officer as it is defined for police standards; and providing for an effective date." ACTION NARRATIVE TAPE 98-1, SIDE A CHAIRMAN KELLY called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order at 11:30 a.m., and brought SB 110 - LICENSING OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS before the committee as the first order of business. SENATOR TAYLOR moved and asked unanimous consent SB 110 be approved for calendaring at the discretion of the Chair. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered. CHAIRMAN KELLY brought SB 159 - NEW BUSINESS INCENTIVE PROGRAM before the committee and asked for the pleasure of the committee. SENATOR TAYLOR moved and asked unanimous consent SB 159 be approved for calendaring at the discretion of the Chair. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered. CHAIRMAN KELLY brought SB 214 - PEACE OFFICERS/ CONCEALED WEAPONS before the committee as the final order of business and asked for the pleasure of the committee. SENATOR LEMAN moved and asked unanimous consent SB 214 be approved for calendaring at the discretion of the Chair. Hearing no objection it was so ordered. There being no further business to come before the committee, CHAIRMAN KELLY adjourned the meeting at 11:32 a.m.
