  CHAIRMAN MILLER  called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order          
 at 12:15 p.m., noting there was a quorum present.  He stated  SJR 6           
  (TRANSFER FED. LAND TO POST-1846 STATES) was the only item on the            
 committee calendar.  There being no discussion, he asked for the              
 pleasure of the committee.                                                    
                                                                               
 SENATOR PEARCE moved and asked unanimous consent that SJR 6 be                
 approved for calendaring.  Hearing no objection, it was so ordered.           
 There being no further business to come before the committee, the             
 meeting was adjourned at 12:16 p.m.
