The Conference Committee on HJR 43 was chaired by Senator Mike
Miller who called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m. and noted all
conference committee members were present.
SUMMARY INFORMATION
Before the committee was a proposed conference committee substitute
which deletes the words "in the order provided" as contained in the
Senate version on page 1, lines 8 and 9.
MARGO KNUTH, Department of Law, appeared before the committee and
stated the department's support for removing the language "in the
order provided".
Representative Parnell moved adoption of CCSHJR 43. Senator Leman
objected and then removed his objection. Representative Navarre
objected and then removed his objection. Senator Donley objected.
Senator Miller took a roll call vote with the following result:
Representatives Navarre, Parnell, Porter and Senators Leman and
Miller voted "Yea" and Senator Donley voted "Nay." Senator Miller
stated CCSHJR 43 was adopted and moved out of committee.
There being no further business to come before the committee,
Senator Miller adjourned the meeting at 9:25 a.m.
