CO-CHAIR RANDY PHILLIPS called the Ombudsman Selection Committee                                                              
meeting to order at 11:07 a.m. Senators Ellis, Stevens and                                                                      
Phillips and Representative Berkowitz were present.                                                                             
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR STEVENS moved to go into executive session pursuant to                                                                  
Uniform Rule 22(b)(2).                                                                                                          
                                                                                                                                
CO-CHAIR PHILLIPS announced that without objection, the committee                                                               
was in executive session.                                                                                                       
                                                                                                                                
[The committee then experienced teleconference difficulties.]                                                                   
                                                                                                                                
CO-CHAIR PHILLIPS noted the presence of Representative McGuire.                                                                 
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR STEVENS repeated his motion and without objection, the                                                                  
committee then when into executive session.                                                                                     
                                                                                                                                
Upon the termination  of the executive session,  CO-CHAIR PHILLIPS                                                              
announced  that,  during  the executive  session,  each  committee                                                              
member  made  his  or  her views  known  on  the  candidates.  The                                                              
committee  would  hold the  process  and  select an  ombudsman  by                                                              
Friday, April 26. He then adjourned the meeting at 11:41 a.m.
