CO-CHAIR RANDY PHILLIPS called the Ombudsman Selection Committee
meeting to order at 2:08 p.m. Senators Ellis, Phillips and
Representatives Berkowitz, McGuire and Kott were present. Co-
Chair Phillips announced that Senator Stevens was attending a
meeting and would arrive shortly. He then announced the committee
would first interview Bridget Brice.
AN UNIDENTIFIED COMMITTEE MEMBER moved to go into executive
session pursuant to Uniform Rule 22(b)(2). There being no
objection, the motion carried.
The committee proceeded to go into executive session.
When the interview concluded, CO-CHAIR PHILLIPS thanked Ms. Brice
and announced that the committee would next interview Maria Moya.
The committee proceeded to go into executive session.
3:07 p.m.
CO-CHAIR PHILLIPS thanked Ms. Moya and announced the committee
would next interview Ruth DeCamp.
AN UNIDENTIFIED COMMITTEE MEMBER moved to go into executive
session pursuant to Uniform Rule 22(b)(2). There being no
objection, the motion carried.
The committee proceeded to go into executive session.
CO-CHAIR PHILLIPS thanked Ms. DeCamp and announced the committee
would take a 15-minute recess and then interview Gwen Byington.
4:15 p.m.
CO-CHAIR PHILLIPS reconvened the meeting of the Ombudsman
Selection Committee to interview Ms. Byington.
AN UNIDENTIFIED COMMITTEE MEMBER moved to go into executive
session pursuant to Uniform Rule 22(b)(2). There being no
objection, the motion carried.
At the conclusion of Ms. Byington's interview, CO-CHAIR PHILLIPS
thanked her. There being no further business to come before the
committee, he announced the committee would meet again on
Saturday, April 27 at 11:00 a.m. and adjourned the meeting at
4:42 p.m.
