CHAIRMAN TIM KELLY called the Senate Labor and Commerce Committee

support for the L&C SCS. She explained it simply extends the scope
of duties of a fire fighter that are covered under workers

are authorized by the state.

supports the legislation.
CHAIRMAN KELLY asked for a motion on the committee substitute.
SENATOR SHARP moved that SCS HB 221(L&C) be adopted. Hearing no
objection, the motion carried.
SENATOR SHARP moved that HB 221 be passed out of committee with
individual recommendations. Hearing no objection, it was so
ordered.
There being no further business to come before the committee, the
meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
