  CALL TO ORDER                                                                
                                                                               
  Senator  Bert  Sharp, Co-chairman,  convened the  meeting at                 
  approximately 12:40 p.m.                                                     
                                                                               
                                                                               
  PRESENT                                                                      
                                                                               
  In addition to Co-chairman Sharp, Senators Phillips, Donley,                 
  Torgerson, Parnell and  Adams were present when  the meeting                 
  convened.  Senator Pearce did not attend.                                    
                                                                               
                                                                               
  SUMMARY INFORMATION                                                          
                                                                               
  Co-chair Sharp called the session to  order.  He thanked the                 
  committee members and their staff for an orderly legislative                 
  session.  He  further thanked  the Senate Finance  Committee                 
  Secretary and her staff for all their assistance.                            
                                                                               
  At the  request of Senate President Mike Miller he appointed                 
  Senator Torgerson to head  a transportation subcommittee and                 
  Senator Parnell to head a  finance subcommittee, both during                 
  the interim.                                                                 
                                                                               
  Co-chair Sharp further  advised that there was nothing to be                 
  heard in  the Senate Finance  Committee and that  the Senate                 
  President said only what was on the Senate calendar would be                 
  heard today on  the floor.   Senator Phillips said he  would                 
  let members know when Budget and Audit would meet next.
