  Senator  Drue  Pearce,  Co-chair,  convened the  meeting  at                 
  approximately 4:30 p.m.                                                      
                                                                               
  PRESENT                                                                      
                                                                               
  In addition  to Co-chairman Pearce, Senators  Sharp, Donley,                 
  Torgerson, Phillips, Parnell and Adams were present when the                 
  meeting convened.                                                            
                                                                               
  ALSO ATTENDING:   Senator  Lyda Green;  Senator Jerry  Ward;                 
  Randy Welker,  Legislative Auditor, Division  of Legislative                 
  Audit; Pat Davidson, Assistant Legislative Auditor, Division                 
  of  Legislative Audit;  Mike Greany,  Director, Division  of                 
  Legislative  Finance;  Susan  Taylor  and  Gretchen  Mannix,                 
  Fiscal Analysts, Division of Legislative  Finance; and aides

  FY  98  Budget  Previews were  conducted  for  the following
