  CALL TO ORDER                                                                
                                                                               
  Senator  Drue  Pearce,  Co-chair, convened  the  meeting  at                 
  approximately 10:30 a.m. at the Anchorage Hilton Hotel.

  Senator Tim Kelly was present in Juneau.                                     
                                                                               
  ALSO ATTENDING:                                                              
                                                                               
  Bob Poe,  staff  to Senator  Pearce;  Bill Miles,  staff  to                 
  Senator  Pearce;   and  Nancy  Slagle,  fiscal  analyst  for                 
  Legislative Finance were also present in Juneau.                             
                                                                               
  SUMMARY INFORMATION                                                          
                                                                               
  The University  of Alaska  sponsored The 90's:  A Decade  of                 
  Renewal, a conference to discuss issues surrounding deferred                 
  maintenance, at  the Anchorage  Hilton Hotel  on Friday  and                 
  Saturday, February 12 -13, 1993.                                             
                                                                               
  On Saturday, February 13, there was a teleconference held to                 
  discuss "The  Future of  Public Buildings  in Alaska."   The                 
  teleconference was heard  in the Senate  Finance room.   All                 
  interested legislators were invited to attend.                               
                                                                               
  A tape  is on  file  in the  office  of the  Senate  Finance                 
  Committee Secretary (465-4935) and  may be requested through                 
  the office  of the Legislative  Finance Division (465-3795).                 
  Because of the teleconference lines at  the hotel some of it                 
  is not audible.
