  CALL TO ORDER                                                                
                                                                               
  Senator  Bert  Sharp, Co-chairman,  convened the  meeting at                 
  approximately 9:33 a.m.                                                      
                                                                               
                                                                               
  PRESENT                                                                      
                                                                               
  In addition to  Co-chairman Sharp, Senators  Pearce, Parnell                 
  and Adams were present when the meeting  convened.  Senators                 
  Phillips,   Donley   and   Torgerson  arrived   respectively                 
  thereafter.                                                                  
                                                                               
  ALSO ATTENDING:   Marilyn  Wilson, staff  to Senator  Sharp;                 
  Peter A.  Bushre, Chief Financial Officer,  Alaska Permanent                 
  Fund Corporation; and  aides to committee members  and other

  SUMMARY INFORMATION                                                          
                                                                               
                                                                               
       SENATE BILL NO. 161                                                     
                                                                               
       "An Act  relating  to management  of certain  municipal                 
  assets by      the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation."                       
                                                                               
  Co-chair Sharp called the meeting to order.  Marilyn Wilson,                 
  staff to Senator Sharp was invited to join the committee and                 
  read a brief sponsor  statement into the record.   Mr. Peter                 
  A.  Bushre,  Alaska  Permanent  Fund  Corporation  was  also                 
  invited  to join  the  committee.   There  followed a  brief                 
  discussion  between Mr.  Bushre and  SFC  members.   He said                 
  monies should  be available  to local  municipalities.   Co-                 
  chair Sharp  noted a  CS version  of the  original bill  and                 
  pointed out two amendments; page  1, lines 7 and 8;  page 2,                 
  lines  21  - 23.    Senator  Parnell moved  work  draft CSSB
(FIN)  with   accompanying  fiscal   notes  and   without                 
  objection it was reported out.                                               
                                                                               
                                                                               
       HOUSE BILL NO. 91                                                       
                                                                               
       "An Act  extending the termination date of the Board of                 
  Parole;   and providing for an effective date."                              
                                                                               
  Co-chair  Sharp introduced HB 91 and  there followed a brief                 
  explanation of the  bill.   Senator Adams moved  HB 91  with                 
  accompanying  fiscal  notes  and without  objection  it  was                 
  reported out.
