CHAIR CATHY GIESSEL called the Senate Committee on Committees
meeting to order at 4:44 p.m. in accordance with Uniform Rules
1(e) and 20. Present at the call to order were Senate Rules
Chair John Coghill, Senate Majority Leader Lyman Hoffman, Senate
Finance Co-Chair Natasha von Imhof, Senate Minority Leader Tom
Begich, and Senate President Cathy Giessel.

CHAIR GIESSEL stated that the purpose of this meeting is to
amend the membership in Senate committees as follows:

Community and Regional Affairs Committee
• Replace Senator Costello with Senator Shower.
• Appoint Senator Micciche and name him vice chair.
Education Committee
• Appoint Senator Coghill.
• Name Senator Hughes Vice Chair.

• Remove Senator Micciche and Senator Shower.
Health and Social Services Committee
• Replace Senator Coghill with Senator von Imhof and name
Senator von Imhof Vice Chair.
• Replace Senator Stevens with Senator Shower.

• Replace Senator Shower with Senator Coghill and name

CHAIR GIESSEL reconvened the meeting and stated that the
previous statement regarding the Judiciary Committee was in
error. Rather, the changes to the Judiciary Committee membership
should be as follows:
Judiciary Committee
• Replace Senator Hughes with Senator Coghill and name
Senator Coghill Chair.
• Name Senator Micciche Vice Chair
[The Senate adopted the Committee on Committees Report, as
written, establishing that Senator Coghill replaced Senator
Shower on the Judiciary committee and Senator Coghill was named
Chair.]
Labor and Commerce Committee
• Name Senator Bishop Chair.
• Appoint Senator Revak.
• Replace Senator Reinbold with Senator Stevens and name him
Vice Chair.

CHAIR GIESSEL solicited a motion from Rules Chair, Senator
Coghill.

SENATOR COGHILL moved that the Senate Committee on Committees
adopt the foregoing changes.
4:49:16 PM
CHAIR GIESSEL stated that without objection, the changes are
approved. She asked the members to sign the report which will
then be forwarded to the Senate for approval once the floor
session reconvenes.

There being no further business to come before the committee,
Chair Giessel adjourned the Committee on Committees meeting at
4:49 p.m.
