CALL TO ORDER
REPRESENTATIVE SCOTT OGAN, Chair, called the House Special
Committee on Oil and Gas meeting to order at 10:05 a.m.
PRESENT
Committee members present were Representatives Ogan, Dyson,
Chenault, Fate, Kohring, Guess, and Joule. Also present was
Representative James.
SUMMARY OF INFORMATION
JOHN ELLWOOD, Vice President, Engineering and Operations,
Foothills Pipe Lines Ltd, presented an overview on the Alaska
Highway Gas Pipeline Project.
Additional testimony was given by:
ROB COHEN, General Counsel for Foothills Pipe Lines Ltd. and
CURT MOFFATT, Van Ness Feldman, Washington, D.C., Counsel for
Foothills Pipe Lines Ltd.
Testifiers informed members that Foothills Pipe Lines Ltd. is
jointly owed by Westcoast Energy Ltd. and TransCanada PipeLines
Limited. Their discussion focused on the Alaska North Slope
Natural Gas Project and the Lower-48 market, including permits
and status.
Handouts were provided, and questions were taken throughout the
presentation.
