CALL TO ORDER
REPRESENTATIVE JIM WHITAKER, Chairman, convened the House
Special Committee on Oil and Gas at 10:04 a.m.
PRESENT
Committee members present at the call to order were
Representatives Whitaker, Phillips, Porter, Harris, Smalley,
and Kemplen. Representatives Brice and Ogan arrived as the
meeting was in progress. Representative Dyson was excused.
SUMMARY OF INFORMATION
RICHARD CAMPBELL, President of BP Alaska, gave a presentation
to the committee regarding the effect of low oil prices, oil
production, North Slope gas, Alaska's tax structure, and the
company's commitment to the state. In addition, Mr. Campbell
answered questions from committee members.
COMMITTEE ACTION
The committee took no action.
ADJOURNMENT
REPRESENTATIVE WHITAKER adjourned the meeting at 11:35 a.m.
